To be found at the foot of the Rocher, behind the Port is a spacious square, beautifully tiled in red and playing host to the twin markets of La Place des Armes and of the Condamine. Stroll through the former and absorb the soft Mediterranean atmosphere. Regional products are for sale in this delightful setting: admire the splendid red front and its turquoise tiles dominating the square; take the time to revel in these sensations, sitting on a bench next to a fountain and garden. Immediately adjacent is the recently renovated indoor market of the Condamine. There are around thirty stallholders there offering fresh produce and local dishes in a cheerful manner so typical of the South. The two main assets of this place: its architecture will attract aesthetes and its local produce food lovers. Picturesque and authentic.
